U500 is Superflite's air-dry fabric adhesive, used to attach polyester fabric to the airframe and surface tapes to the fabric. It is available in pints, quarts and gallons, along with acetone for thinning.

For attaching fabric, thin U500 at 2 parts adhesive to 1 part acetone or MEK. For surface tapes, thin it further at about 1 part U500 to 2 or 3 parts acetone or MEK. Use only acetone or MEK to thin U500. Do not use butyrate thinner, urethane reducer, lacquer thinner or enamel thinner, and do not use U500 as a fabric filler.

Our acetone comes in a 1-gallon F-style can and is a suitable substitute for MEK. Wear nitrile gloves when working with U500 and solvents, and see our Tech Info page for full application instructions.
