A smooth finish starts with good surface prep. This collection includes the abrasives we recommend for sanding and scuffing between steps in the Superflite System 7 process.

Choose from 3M Scotch-Brite pads in maroon (very fine), gray and white (light duty) for scuffing, cleaning and denibbing without the rust and splinters of steel wool. Our wet/dry silicon carbide sandpaper is available in 320, 400 and 600 grit in standard 9 x 11 inch sheets, sold individually. It can be used wet or dry on primer, paint, metal and wood, and the waterproof backing reduces clogging for a faster, cleaner cut.

Use coarser grits for sanding primer and finer grits and pads for final prep before topcoat. Pair with tack rags from our Painting Supplies collection to remove sanding dust before you spray.
